These are just a few of the references that you can find proclaiming the wonderful benefits that people who suffer from skin disorder, can experience with glycerin-based lotions. You will also notice in these articles, along with many others, that the common practice among the big companies is to extract all of the glycerin from other products they manufacture, in order to save it for their more expensive face creams, hand lotions, anti-aging and severe dry skin formulas. As I have stated before, you can find many of these products selling for well over $100. Furthermore these high-priced creams and lotions still contain fillers, coloring agents and thickeners that actually dilute their product.
The reason for this is very simple. Like with so many other things, WE HAVE BEEN LED BY THE NOSE TO BELIEVE WHAT THE MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANIES AND THE RICH-AND-GETTING-RICHER DOCTORS, WANT US TO BELIEVE! YOU HAVE ALREADY TRIED THE OTHER LOTIONS...THEY DON'T WORK!MANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN TO THE DOCTOR AND HAVE TRIED THE STEROID-BASED LOTIONS...THEY DON'T LEAVE YOUR SKIN HEALTHY-LOOKING! THE DOCTOR TELLS YOU THAT THIS IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO! IF THEY GAVE YOU A LOTION THAT WORKED, YOU WOULD NOT HAVE TO KEEP GOING BACK AND MAKING THEM RICHER! When you go out and purchase a cream or lotion, you have been trained to believe that these products must be very thick in texture. They must "feel" luxuriant to make you feel as though you are getting something for your money. The fact still remains that to achieve this goal, they are putting ingredients in their product that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH MOISTURIZING OR HEALING! Glycerin, on it's own, is a clear, fairly thick liquid that attracts moisture from surrounding air. If you place an open container of pure glycerin on a counter or shelf undisturbed, it will soon attract enough water from the air that it becomes 80% glycerin and 20% water. It will actually increase in volume because of this, but a few other additives, one being isopropyl alcohol, will quicken the process. The alcohol also adds an astringent quality to bind together cracks in the skin, kill bacteria and stop itching. Combined with the glycerin, when applied to open cracks in the skin, the alcohol rarely causes a burning sensation and even in those rare cases, vanishes very quickly. The alcohol also thins the glycerin so that it will rapidly absorb into the skin and penetrate much deeper. If the lotion is too thick, it just sits on the surface of the skin and does not penetrate to where the real problems lie.
Of course, these are not the only ingredients in Mom's Legacy Hand and Body lotion because the answer to healthy skin is not that simple. For obvious reasons I cannot completely divluge the formula here, but I will tell you that there are only 6 ingredients in this amazing lotion and as I have stated before, these 6 ingredients are all aimed at either healing or moisturizing dry skin and we all know that the most aggravating symptom of all skin disorders is DRY SKIN.
So what would you rather have? A lotion so loaded up with additives that the diluted, active ingredients just half-heartedly addresses the problem, or a highly-concentrated formula that gets right to the root of the problem RIGHT NOW?
We realize that if we did things like everyone else, our lotion would be weaker, you would see improvement at a much slower rate and therefore buy a lot more lotion.
